That sucks, Chris, and sorry to hear about it. It's not so much what a person takes from us, but that feeling of being violated. Although, I wouldn't let it ruin the mood that being in a new place has given you. So they've just read the Chauvin verdict, as I type, and all I could think of is what a person once told me; Anarchy rules, Dude! ;) All kidding aside, let's hope for a peaceful night across America and some amount of closure for the Floyd family ~~~ as well, the black community as a whole. ttyl and enjoy yourself a fine night ahead.

yeah, imagine that, Chris ~~~ that Summer will be here sooner than we think. Time surely has its way with us and as it pertains to our perception of its passing. The moments that linger all too long and the ones we wish we could bottle&savor for some other day. I think Saint Augustine wrote a treatise on time and said that time only exists in the mind's apprehension of reality. Perhaps, one day we'll know all the truths that now escape us ... but, at that point, will they be important to us? I have my own theory; without disrespecting any situation that may have ever played out, I think they will seem trite ... for what will be before us will be far more important than that which already happened.
