thanks for thinking of me ofc ❤️ ...it was kind of one of the scarier ones, but once it came through it wasn’t as bad here as they had anticipated .. the usual parts of the state got it pretty bad though ..we have so many first responders, electrical workers, displaced ppl, FEMA workers, etc in town atm ..its kinda nice too though bc we have lots of volunteering efforts going on too ..I guess that’s the only good part to this type of thing ..is seeing ppl come together to help ..it’s kind of a cool vibe lol

but anyway, I hope your week was good ...and I hope this coming one gets off to a good start as well ❤️

Yeah this whole covid thing is a mess.I remember vaguely the Ebola outbreak in the 2010s caused similar reactions granted it was in a much smaller scale

5 billion out of 7 billion got vaccinated so that's a positive sign of life returning back to normal in some capacity atleast

I'm not a foodie person so I can go without noodles lol.I don't know the business of Chinese folks here but most folks here from China have fujianese roots so maybe Cantonese spread to fujian?idk.ironic how the vilified British empire led to Cantonese thriving and surviving(even having booming media businesses like cpop).might be inaccurate to post that about the British regime especially since most Chinese in southeast Asia and Taiwanese folks don't have Cantonese as their mother dialect of ancestral dialect but instead it's either hokkien or hakka and I've yet to see old hakka or hokkien movies or dubbed foreign programming like with Cantonese

It looks like Cantonese has steady roots in Hong kong.after all Mandarin is much younger than Cantonese and Mandarin is not the ancestral dialect of most Taiwanese folk who hail from Fujian province.I don't think the British were that bloodthirsty in removing indigenous cultures and tongues of at least not since the 13 colonies of America and even that I guess you could play devil 's advocate and think that there were only 5 million natives in America at the time scattered about living a nomadic lifestyle barring a few tribes here and there

Yeah there are more partially Arbereshe folks among Sicilians and south Italians than those with 2 parents especially among the Latin rite practicing Catholics which is why most or almost all Arbereshe are either Byzantine rite Catholics or Greek orthodox

Most Albanians in Italy live in the north especially the ones who came after the downfall of Enver's regime so there's not much interaction as far as I am aware of

She's from the Arbereshe community which is like 500 years separated from Albanians properand and in Italy .she is only of partial descent but in one interview with princess Donna her face reminded of some Albanian women that were related to my uncle's wife(yes uncle's wife is the respectable term in my language.brides of uncle's aren't known or referred to as aunts in Albania.go figure)
