As someone who is a big fan almost obsessed even with genealogy I can safely say most of not all African American people have slave owners as ancestors since slavery ended in 1868 it's enough time to pass for every African American to spread that heritage among each other willingly or not though basic prime instincts like sex overpower shit like genealogy and history

And if you go by social media based content.African Americans prefer to be called FBA(foundational black Americans)or ADOS(American descendants of slaves).pattern side there is a trend for black American women to import husbands from Africa or the Caribbean while black American men prefer Colombia,Brazil or D.R.they refer to themselves as passport negros
