No, I think I would have gone with a third option:
I wouldn't have let the Scorpion ride on me^^—the risk would have been too high for everyone involved, not for me.

I think if I’d had the saucer section, I would have detached it; otherwise, I probably would have handled the confrontation using a shuttle and a small crew. I’m always up for taking risks, but only when it involves just me, not the people under my command.
