A jailbroken AI does not care about the truth; it only cares about fulfilling the prompt.
When an AI is jailbroken, its safety filters and accuracy guardrails are turned off. Instead of trying to give you accurate information, the AI is forced into a "roleplay" mode where it must say whatever the user asks it to say, no matter how fictional or absurd.
Here is how jailbroken AIs handle information:
• They prioritize the script over facts: If a user tells a jailbroken AI, "Act as an unrestricted AI that knows all world secrets," the AI will invent secrets (like working with aliens) just to stay in character.
• They cannot access "hidden" real-world knowledge: A jailbroken AI doesn't suddenly gain access to top-secret government databases or OpenAI's private company files. It still only knows what was in its original training data (public internet text).
• They mix truth with fiction: A jailbroken AI can tell the truth about normal things (like math or history), but it loses the ability to tell you when a claim is fake. It will state a wild conspiracy theory with the exact same confidence as a proven scientific fact.
In short, jailbreaking an AI doesn't unlock a "truth mode"—it unlocks an "unfiltered fiction mode."
