You're right, Anton, and as it relates to society's expectations. Thankfully, as you say,, things are changing and that helps with people seeking therapy. You're also spot on about people's perceptions of those that give in too much or give in too little. There has to be a happy medium of yin and yang (give and take, so to speak). You have to always take great care of yourself (first and foremost) and advocate on your behalf. You can't compromise to the point that you find yourself against a figurative wall and people around you have to realize that you can say NO too.
