Well I've read that eventually there will just be one sort of coffee-coloured race, but I never thought about a monolingual world. I can see it happening, though I'm sure it could take quite awhile. On another topic, you mentioned falling birthrates and for some reason I was reminded of something I read long ago about the possibility of male pregnancy. I just looked it up out of curiousity, and it seems they're still talking about it. years ago I knew a guy who wanted so badly to carry a baby to term. He was really excited about that researchers were talking about it.
