west of my place is an alpine community which began as assembly yard for rail traffic along one of two railroads that cross from the prairies through the rocky mountains , trans country railway to British Columbia ending in Vancouver.
the Town is named Jasper, which is also the local BEAR's name !
so Jasper is a famous bear
