I saw an interview where she was speaking and she knew she was sick, she couldn't pick out musical notes anymore but was calm in explaining her prognosis and what was going to happen to her later on. It was really sad to see someone who was once so vibrant become a shell of her former self. But even as sick as she was, she still had humor! .
