i was in paris in the 90s, my 1st night i went 2 a cafe on my own, the waiter came over n gabbled something in french n i said "do u speak english?"...n he said "a little whats ur order?"...n i just said a hamburger n a carlsberg n he snatched up the menu n waddled off...there were 2 guys at the table next 2 me n they asked where was i from, i told them n they said come n join them at their table...i sat with them n the waiter came back n gave us the food...1 of the french guys said "this is blah blah from australia"...the waiter said "australia, not english?" n i said yes....he smiled n held out his hand n said "hello friend".....
