from what Ive read, the vaccine isnt working anyway. Some cruise ship filled w "Vaccinated Passengers Only" (and a few 12 year olds who cant get vaccines yet) ...it returned to dock and some of the passengers were infected and testing positive for covid. There is no logic in this, even from the beginning. Ppl were nervous about it so they isolate and wear masks, only so Cali can reopen Disneyland last year in the height of the pandemic. I havent believed it was as deadly as they were saying since that happened. None of this makes sense.

My mom told us we better not make hers a gloomy affair, she wanted ppl to celebrate her life and not be sad. So we celebrated her but it wasnt as easy not being sad, we all missed her a lot, ..still do.

youre a traveling soul there Chris, it must be nice to travel after the lockdowns, even in this heat. Im ready for that roadtrip but Ill wait until the fall to visit the desert, no way am I driving into that inferno now. You dont ever have to be sorry for late replies my friend, I try to check in but take a long time to get here myself sometimes, so no worries about that. yeah women have climbed out of "property" status not all that long ago, in terms of history. Before 1970 a woman couldnt walk into a bank and borrow money without a man to cosign. Which is strange to me since she could have lots of wealth and collateral and the man could be broke. He could use her own wealth as the collateral, theyd just need a man's signature to proceed. And early 1900's we were still property. Any money a woman inherited or worked for would be taken over by her husband, father or any male relative, even if she was educated and could invest more wisely than the husband who legally held it. In the course of things, that wasnt that long ago. Slaves were freed, women were not. I dont really consider myself a feminist in the sense I appreciate and miss the roles we played in keeping families together, but any freedoms gained for financial independance (or equal pay for equal work type laws), .. Im all for it. Can you imagine inheriting a million dollars and it all goes into your wifes account? You'd have to ask her for an allowance lol. (eff that)
