Yeah, I get what you're saying? I like your positive outlook on life. And no way should you give up something you enjoy, not even for our kids, unless it negatively impacts them somehow? I believe we come back again in another life when we die, but I don't have any definitive proof, so you may as well enjoy life, incase this is the one and only shot we get?
I think there are also a lot of other factors that shape peoples addictions and paths? I think some of it is in our DNA. My grandad on my mums side loved to have a drink, he did the same job as me, and him and my gran went to the pub or social club at least three or four times a week. Then there's also the envoronmental factor. I think if you live in a warm climate with long daytime hours, then you're less likely to suffer from depression, and I suppose the extra Vitamin D from the sun helps? When I go out in the morning it's dark, and when I get home it's dark. It rains a lot and is fucking freezing as well. Having a beer when you get home is like a reward, just for getting through the day. That's what I tell myself anyway? But i like the cold and dark. I would hate to live in a warm climate. I think this is why Northerrn Europeans struggle more with alcohol, and Africans/Carribeans love weed so much? XX

I just can't get in to weed. I tried to ween myself off alcohol with it before. But I ended up just getting stoned AND pished. I'm actually quite good at dealing with depression, and I'm not actually depressed, just more kind of gloomy sometimes? Know what I mean? XX
