Very SAD news coming out of the world of ROCK N ROLL; the untimely passing of Oliver TAYLOR HAWKINS. Better known as the talented drummer of the FOO FIGHTERS and whilst on tour in South America (Bogota, Columbia). And the one thing many fans probably already know is that he possessed a stellar singing voice. I see that my "countryman"...(depending on who you ask, as he is from "Norn Iron"...Northern Ireland)...Kenneth Branagh is tipped to possibly win an Oscar for his film Belfast, which I haven't seen yet. As for Liam Neeson, he seems to be taking the big paychecks for the action movies these days. I have no problem with that, apart from the fact that much of what he is doing seems quite formulaic. I see that he is starring alongside Irish American Aidan Quinn for the third time in a new film called "Blacklight". The trailer makes it look like a hundred other action movies that have been done before, although...that could just be the trailer.

Interesting what you had to say about time. It got me thinking about this scene from the pilot episode of Star Trek DS9. I have to hand it to the writers of that show, they had a tremendous talent/ability for viewing reality from an entirely (if you'll excuse the pun)...alien perspective. Have a look.

I hear you on English films, I reckon French films are flatter still (no offence mon frere)...but their films just seem to lack a certain jena se quois, I can't quite put my finger on it. Perhaps I haven't seen enough French films, but those that I have seen never quite seem to lift off (plot wise) although....that said, Luc Besson's "Leon" is a superb film, I loved it. Gary Oldman was downright epic in that movie. Speaking of great performances, if you ever get the chance, check out a young...and at the time little known Ed Norton co starring alongside Richard Gere in "Primal Fear". He was absolutely bloody brilliant in that. Played two roles, as a young man suffering from split personality disorder.

What's up bro?! I had a fairly chilled St. Patrick's Day thanks for asking. I don't bother going to the parade anymore, it's mostly for tourists these days. Lots of Brazilians, Chinese, Americans, Australians and even Arabs all claiming to be Irish for one day lol...which is nice, but it's mostly for their benefit. So...yes Ms. Johansson has ALWAYS been a favourite of mine. You should also check her out in a Scottish film called "Under The Skin", very unsettling...but she's as hot as ever. It's true what they say,...the devil comes in the form of a beautiful woman...although she's not technically the devil in that film, but something damned close too it. Another hottie that never quite made it big for some inexplicable reason was Talisa Soto, best known for her roles in Licence to Kill and the original 1995 Mortal Kombat film, in which she wore a very restrictive yet revealing leather ensemble mmmm.......nice.

Thank you JP. I totally agree with what you said in regards to Ukraine. Yet people here are complaining about gas prices. It sucks...I know. But would they rather trade places with people for whom I consider "Heroes" that are fighting for not only their lives, but their country as well in Ukraine? Anyways try not slipping anything in The Easter Bunny's cookies for the lulz haha. Anyways I am doing well. Better than I have been in yrs. It truly suites me being back here in Va.
