Hello JP
I find it interesting how the topic of 9/11 is handled here in Germany. I find it truly alarming how often we see a reversal of perpetrator and victim roles. In the public media, for instance, reports focus heavily on how the debate following that day fueled Islamophobia—headlines like: "Fatal knife attack in Trier, allegedly by an Afghan man, has once again shown: Islamophobia is widespread. Where it comes from and the profound impact of 9/11."
I find the nature of the discourses we engage in here simply shocking. To put it plainly: large parts of society are sick with this tendency to flip the roles of perpetrator and victim.

Key aspects include: Shifting blame ("You’re the one who drove me to this");
shifting the focus (turning "You hurt me" into "You’re being unfair for bringing it up");
the actual issue vanishing (ending up debating ten new accusations instead of the original behavior);
and moral reversal (the person who crossed boundaries accuses the other of lacking empathy, being aggressive, or being unloving).
The question asked isn't "What happened to you?"
Instead, it’s:
"Why are you accusing this person?"
"Why are you being so difficult?"
"Why are you making such a drama out of this?"
"What did *you* actually do?"

A sombre affair indeed mon ami. I must get to bed, but here's one of mine, which might be appropriate for this time of year. Sarah did a fantastic rendition of this song. You may have seen it before. Talk soon. Enjoy the rest of your evening.

Thanks! We’re all doing well. We’re heading to a show tonight to see the one and only Geoff Tate, the original singer of Queensrÿche. Pretty cool, and it should be a really fun time! 🤘🎸

Sometimes, we can sense and feel the palpable patina that seminal events leave behind. In this case, heroes whose selfless courage chose to paint a lasting layer of unconditional love upon the landscape we call the passage of TIME.

2MORO, a solemn reminder of what once was and could have been finds its way to GROUND ZERO; another telling and somber 9-11 anniversary 😞 Imagine, for a second, if not for the malevolence of mankind … the lives that could have been 😞

Hey there, JP. I’ve been thinking about how I treated you, and I really wanted to reach out and sincerely apologize. I was completely wrong for going off on you the way I did, especially when you had never done anything to deserve that from me.
Looking back, I realize I let my emotions get the better of me, and that wasn’t fair to you. You didn’t deserve my anger, my words, or the way I treated you. I take responsibility for that, and I’m genuinely sorry. I know I’m better than that, and I don’t want to be the kind of person who takes things out on someone who never did anything wrong.
I just felt that you deserved a sincere apology from me. I wish you nothing but the best and hope you have a really good Wednesday afternoon.
