I watched all six seasons from start to finish, foolishly hoping that it would eventually go somewhere. Like you, I thought the premise was brilliant. Alias had a truly brilliant premise, but ultimately the writers gave up on their own story, not having an ending properly penned JJ Abrams again...and his "mystery box" bullshit.
