I do like the whole idea of balance though …I’ve thought about it a lot ….if you think about it, almost everything you can possibly think of has some sort of thing that serves as a counter-balance to it …personally I see it as yet another indication of divinity …too many perfectly timed & weighted “coincidences” for me to think it just came out of a big bang type of situation lol

I think since most ppl here are Catholic, the non Catholic ppl may feel a little left out?? …my sister in law isn’t Catholic, so I think she just likes to talk shit about basically …she’s a shit talker in general though lol …I feel like anytime someone does give me actual reasons for disliking the Catholic Church, it’s 1. bc of the priests w/ kids scandals & cover ups & 2. they don’t understand our relationship with Mary

the sex scandal part is ofc horrible & inexcusable, but the thing with Mary makes total sense if you care enough to listen & understand it

but I can understand ppl being turned off by organized religion, but I guess bc I’m so use to it, to me, it’s kinda comforting in a way …you can go to mass at any Catholic Church in the world & kinda get basically the same thing everytime …I guess I like the consistency of it ..it’s kinda always been something steady I’ve had in my life …like that familiar feeling of going over to your grandmas house lol

my little brother kinda struggles with his faith & isn’t really Catholic anymore ..his wife basically hates the Catholic Church …my mom & dad don’t like it, but they don’t hassle them …it bothers them most bc they (my bro & his wife) didn’t get my nephew baptized …so my parents babysit him a lot, bring him to church with them, and my mom rubs holy water all over him lol …my parents are pretty chill though …they don’t fk with us too much thank God

every US state has a nickname for something they’re know for …like Florida is the Sunshine State, Louisiana is called The Sportsman’s Paradise …hunting & fishing are like what we’re known for, it’s just what ppl do here ….& yeah - my dad has those big boars on his property too …they’ve actually become a public nuisance here & ppl are encouraged to shoot them …my dad has these big traps & he traps them & them shoots them & then gives away the meat (they’re very wild tasting) …he’d-probably just leave them be, but the issue is they eat up all the food (corn) he puts out for the deer …you should see how mad they get once they get caught in the trap …they probably weigh like 300+ lbs and they slam themselves into the metal door trying to bust out of it …they get all banged up & bloody … i should upload on of those vids for y’all to see …it’s pretty brutal

I don’t really think that paid big game hunting is ok either … ppl that do that imo are assholes with more money than respect

umm I don’t think I’d tell my parents that bc they wouldn’t really like it …not to the point that they’d say anything about it, but I’m sure it would bother them

I suppose anything that could help is worth the try. I know that if it's just water damage that KILZ would help to cover it up. They use it as primer, over here, and in bathrooms that may get ceiling water damage ~~~ then you could paint it a colour that you might like. I still wonder about that building's history ~~~ even if it's a new one, what may have been there before and if anything may have left a TIME STAIN (no pun intended).

also, they’ll go to the hunting camp for the weekend & bring all the leftovers up there ..we don’t throw away food where I’m from :P

I get paid double time for being here today (that means double your usual rate of pay) so I’m ok with being here …we don’t eat at my parents till later tonight, so I’d just be at home anyway today, so figured making money made more sense :)

I’m not cooking anything …I think my kids are making some kind of dessert to bring over to my parents tonight …my mom & dad cook so many things for today, it’s kinda pointless for me to bring more

we’ll have:
turkey
ham
back strap (deer meat)
cornbread dressing
rice dressing
sweet potato casserole
mashed potato casserole
broccoli & cauliflower w/ cheese
green beans bundles
salad
gravy
cranberry sauce
& rolls

then for desert:
pecan pie
chocolate pie
bread pudding
this pumpkin torte thing my mom makes
and whatever my kids end up making

so yeah, I’m just bringing myself, no food lol

do they still make new episodes, or is it an old show? …old show, right??

umm, I’m at work for 2.5 more hours & then I’ll start my thanksgiving ….they should really turn thanksgiving into an international holidays …celebrating being thankful had such a good feeling behind it imo
