Now you know why I'd like to melt away in some idyllic Caribbean locale. No offense to my countrymen and the systemic problems that plague America, but it's possible for ambivalence and apathy to eventually win out. I kind of know where that place might be; I used to shop at the SAFEWAY on Arapahoe. But America ~~~ she lives and dies by the way of the gun ~~~ unfortunately, it's always a group of unsuspecting players that seem to perish (many with dreams yet unfulfilled). Sad about the police officer that died ~~~ he leaves seven kids behind. If you're some politician who opposes reasonable gun legislation, what do you offer to them as some consolation? The unfortunate thing, my brother, is that events such as this become politicized and the issue goes off tangent ... and nothing gets done. It's an apolitical issue, in its unfolding. As you made mention; better background checks and for those suffering mental acuity issues is PARAMOUNT. But it's a sad f*cking asterisk that gets placed next to one of our key domestic issues. No need to worry, my friend ~~~ didn't do much yesterday. I still feel like I'm in one of those NASA delayed launch sequences or, at least, I feel that way. Woke up to the news that America experienced another mass shooting ~~~ in Boulder (a former haunt of mine). It makes one shake their head and say WTF? No matter how hard people try to explain it away, it never makes credible sense that someone could be that unhinged to do something that horrific. That being said, Mark; may you enjoy a fine week ahead too (the first full one of Spring), continue to stay SAFE, and enjoy the afternoon that now finds you. I see that Sherrie opened up a channel ~~~ I'm sure that was a welcomed surprise for you. :)
