you probably saw Johnnynitefright and me talking about Scotland...I think he is there somewhere, I liked N.Y. kinda felt like I could live there I think being on holiday is not enough to get the feel for a place, you have to live in it to get the essence of it, when I go to Dublin it takes me a couple of days to adjust from being in the countryside...your kind of nodding at ppl almost saying hello to utter strangers, but yea give me a city rather than a beach any day, Id like to try Chicago, I have relatives there....maybe someday!
Laku noc mark(it's Serbian)and as for accents.many albos in ny have a stereotypical brooklyn/Staten island Italian accent while many others have what they would call a mid Atlantic accents so the accent isn't monolithic
Speaking of eastern European cranky lives in Philadelphia which has a eastern European community so he might be one of have had classmates,neighbors,church members,friends or relatives that were/are one
I can tell the difference between Canadian and American but hello I live here so of course I would go native.not everybody is creepo who lives like a 21st century cavebum

I know ppl who worked and lived in Scotland they mostly all said the same thing, its cold damp full of drunks and addicts,
