I did karate (Wado Ryu) for 3 years, 16 to 19 years old. I didn't like that particular style, but it was the only style close to my home. I would have liked to have done Shudokan, which is much more aggressive and has more spinning kicks. Wado Ryu is more into blocks and countermeasures rather than getting there and kicking the shite out of someone, but it gave me great flexibility. A party piece of mine back in my 30s was switching the lights on or off in the living room with my big toe, which is quite hard to do with accuracy. I also used to be able to scissor-kick the bulb out of the ceiling rose when it needed replacement. Of course, I didn't just go around smashing my bulbs LOL. But I am still loose even yet in my 50s now.

Some of those aforementioned inane wankers, like Alex and Ballslobber, call me Fat Johnny, a photo from my days at the boxing ring, mainly just training.
