Yes, you are right! We had no problems whatsoever. You are putting things in perspective regarding what was going on between you and Rob, and I can see how my blocking you around the same time he moved on from you could look like he was controlling me. However, that simply wasn't the case. Whatever was going on between you two didn't involve me until you started going after him with the clones again. I try to stand up for my friends, but it often ends up backfiring on me, given previous history with other people.
I understand your frustration and skepticism, given our history. I genuinely want to reconcile and move forward, but I recognize that we've been through this cycle many times.
Regarding what happened on CS1 and my reasons for blocking you, I admit I should have handled it differently. I should have brought our issues to your attention privately and worked with you to resolve them from there.
Thank you for sharing your perspective. I want to clear up any misunderstandings and address your concerns. I appreciate your patience and the civil manner in which you've communicated.
First, I apologize if my portrayal of events came across as inaccurate. It was never my intention to misrepresent what happened. There might have been some miscommunication or misunderstandings along the way.
From my understanding, you cloned Rob while we were still friends, and in response, I blocked you and removed your comments. I acknowledge that this might have led to some confusion about the timeline and intentions. My actions were not influenced by anyone else, and I regret if it appeared otherwise. Blocking you was not the best way to handle the situation, and I recognize that now. It was not my intention to cause any animosity or hurt feelings. At the time, I simply wanted to be left alone. By doing this, I didn't value our friendship and certainly owed you an explanation. Instead, I let my anger take over and went after you, which was wrong of me.
I am truly sorry for putting you through that. Deep down, that's not how I want to portray myself as a person, even though I know I fail at this many times.
Mark, I appreciate everything you said on my page and the very civil manner in which you conveyed your thoughts. Please give me a chance to get back to you. I have removed my avatar and my video. I am willing to work things out with you, no matter how long it takes. From what I read, there are a lot of misunderstandings about how things went down, and we might have to agree to disagree on some things. More later
Of course, Mom passed in November of 2009, but Vince's passing is a bit fresher (April of 2020). I suppose that I miss both of them in different ways ~~~ Vince's passing gave way to sell the family house to the grandson of a woman who was best of friends with my Mom. Small world, yes ... but, in my opinion, the house had become stagnant and it required a new owner. I had promised the kid's Dad to be the first to have a crack at the property. He worked with the shell of the house and pretty much gutted it to update things like plumbing, electrical et al. I am content with it, but - at times - I miss Vince. The question begs, though ~~~ do I miss Vince for selfish reasons or do I miss him not being here and enjoying "his" LIFE. I suppose that it is a combination of both.
Yeah, I recall seeing some of that movie and I do know that it is a Will Smith ride. I think Stockard Channing and Donald Sutherland were also in it. Yeah, it is weird how the intertwining of countless unrelated lives can lead us to the most unexpected moments. ENJOY the rest of your night over there, Brah, and have a Great Wednesday soon to come. :)
I am giving all my time to you today. I haven't even really started my day yet or ate anything. I hope that means something to you. You have the floor!
I think we can move on in a civil manner and exist on the site around each other. If you ever want to make amends and move forward and work on things slowly, I am okay with that. I know you are going to say Nathan will do anything to have friends. No, it means I am doing the right thing and have no interest in moving forward in an unhealthy way with you. It is crazy with all the things we have in common and how we can relate to each other, yet we let things come between us. You know we have been better off the other way around. You and Rob have your mess you have to get through, and we have ours, but it doesn't take much to accept the fact that it takes two, and we both certainly have been at fault in this. I would be happy to move forward with you in which you wish but in a civil manner. Enjoy your day going forward!
The main thing that comes between us, Mark, is how I see you treat people, and therefore, I try to stand up for them. Yet, that always doesn't work, and another friendship goes to the wayside. I am utterly sick of it all, and it is just a continued cycle that never ends. I may be at odds again with people that disagree with the things I say here on your page today. I have my right to state how I feel about things. You think you would be better off without me in your life, given all the trouble you think I caused you, and there is no moving forward. You also don't want to go down the same road with me again and again, but I am not the only one at fault in this.
How does anything get accomplished if friends don't try their best to move forward? I got upset with JP recently for standing his ground in his beliefs about you, which was wrong of me. He has every right to stand up for what he believes in and what is right. Sometimes it takes me time to wise up and see what is right. My emotions take over, and I may not think clearly, leading my actions to not always show the best of me. Certainly, you have been right about many things about me and have called me out on them, but there are better ways of addressing it.
Going to war on these sites with people is childish, and it never gets us anywhere. We are better people in real life. You know that. I know that. If we are going to exist around each other, it is better to get along and have some type of civil conversation rather than going at each other's throats. I just do not have the time or the energy for it anymore, Mark. We both know we can get pretty mean with each other. I can even disagree with what Rob said here, with him bringing up the past again between us. I understand he is trying to make a point, but there is no need to bring up the past like I have told you many times. That is another thing that comes in between you and I. If there is an unresolved issue from our past preventing us from moving forward, perhaps we can work on it and find a resolution.
