Over yonder, you had asked a question. I haven't watched any of the EURO 2024, but I know the ROUND OF 16 is shaping up to be matches amongst the usuals. To answer the other question ~~~ not too many fights in the playoffs. The NHL tends to frown upon it and, usually, a Game Misconduct results. Questionable hits can also be reviewed and end up costing a team their player for the next game. But this season is all over. The next thing in line is the 2024 DRAFT and that pops off on the the 28th of this month ~~~ FRIDAY and in, of all places, VEGAS. But cue the A.C. ~~~ temps are over 100° all week and closer to a BUCK-TEN (110°). O-U-C-H, but - as they say - it's a dry heat. HA! Have a good night over there, Bro.
About the fights ~~~ the coach of Florida (Paul Maurice) had taped photos of the referees along the player's bench with the letters STFU above them. In so many ways, telling his players to let him jabber to the refs over questionable calls. A penalty can be costly ~~~ having the other team go on the POWER PLAY (usually a man down - 5 on 4 with that fifth player in the PENALTY BOX).
Yeah, the venues are SMOKE FREE. You can actually get reported at a sporting event (i.e., Fenway Park), if you get caught vaping. I think the only places that might tolerate smoking would be at a members' only private club, but I am unsure about the rules (whether they are state or local). Not even sure if the country has any federal guidelines in place. But catching that guy take a pull off the cigarette was somewhat surreal to see. All set on the messaging. Anyway, Mark, ENJOY the evening that now finds you and whatever you may do to relax. :)
Maybe, it's best that you did walk back. I have been on shuttle buses, in Boston, when they're having trouble with certain subway stops. They tend to get stuffy and, with the whole Covid thing, who knows who you're sitting in close proximity to. But I did get a chance to ENJOY that clip and it looks like Eddie kept the crowd fully engaged and gave 110 percent of himself. I know Vedder mentioned he met Ed Burns on the flight over to Dublin. Glad to see the crowd enjoying a pint or two and I even caught that bald guy (shaved head) smoking which is cool that they still allow that in an outside venue. What I really liked is whomever had the idea to have a triptych of screens to broadcast the concert for all to see. That being said, Bro ~~~ ENJOY the fine Monday afternoon which soon finds you and your week ahead.
Actually, the walk back sounds pretty COOL. I know it's long and it puts people that might be handicapped at risk, but I bet THE AIR WAS STILL FILLED WITH ENERGY FROM THAT CONCERT. Glad that you had what sounds like a FAB TIME and that it left you with some cool new memories. Let it be the first one of your SUMMER 2024. No problem on the support, my brother ~~~ that is what you are and always will be to me. Yeah, it's too bad that someone didn't think of having some shuttle buses put into play. Perhaps, you could casually say that to the people that run that concert venue ~~~ presented in the right way, I don't see why they would be offended. Anyway, Mark, your quick moving and memorable weekend soon gives way to a new week ~~~ ENJOY that and a good night's rest. Onward to AC/DC you go \m/
I take great comfort in knowing that - Last Night - you possibly enjoyed yourself an immensely GREAT time and I see that this particular song was sung somewhat by a crowd knowing the ALL-TOO-TRUE words ~~~ an affirmation of sorts that one shouts to the heavens ... that he or she is still HERE ... in many ways, a quiet victory. Quiet Sunday, in the States, but wishing your SLICE OF PARADISE a fine evening and an even better week to follow. Enjoy whatever you may be doing, Bro, and continue to stay SAFE over there. Hopefully, no copyright restrictions on this one. I can just see the WTF reaction, come the first day in a bliss-laden Heaven ... sorry, Son, you can't come in ... Copyright Issues. HA! :)
Not sure if you may have ever mentioned that PJ song. I did get a chance to see what they threw out there for a potential song list. I know the bands like to have their sets, but - sometimes - the spontaneous moments between the performer and their captive audience are the best ones. I've heard that Freddie Mercury had a way of engaging the audience and that it resulted in absolute magic.
CHEERS to you enjoying a FAB NIGHT over there, Bro ~~~ say HELLO to Eddie for me. God only knows who you might meet in the queue line. I see that Prince William celebrated his 42nd by attending a Taylor Swift concert with his kids. HAHA, I'm sure he did it for the kids. ENJOY THE CONCERT, Mark, and make some cool new memories. :)
