THANKS, Jacob! The problem sort of fixed itself ~~~ I turned OFF and reengaged the TOUCHPAD and let the system bring that function back to factory specs. Your lament about WINDOWS is not alone ~~~ I know that I ruined a computer's operating system once and by interrupting one of their many (Windows) updates, but it was a refurbished DELL. Knock on wood, I have a SAMSUNG laptop that seems to continue to work well. HA! Watch it break down tonight. :) ENJOY your weekend, my friend ~~~ I am OFF to do this ...
