While Israel is encouraging the existence of a Israeli culture and identity at the disappearance of the centuries old Sephardic and Ashkenazi identities and those German Communities of Eastern Europe are more or less extinct since their descendants identify with whatever the host country they reside in.I don't think a Slavic union is possible ever.probably eternally divided :(

When the Slavs first came to the Balkans they were outnumbered by the natives so it's accepted by mainstream historians that a linguistic change not a population change occurred hence it's evidence that Serbs are native to Kosovo even before the Serbs as a nation existed similar how many white Americans have choctaw heritage as evidence of them being native to the land despite having western European facial features,light hair and/or light eyes.that fat ass polish-irish mixed guy wrote to some Serbs complaining that he never met any Slavic looking Serbs but all the Serbs he met look Italian or Greek

Serbs are darker than Russians with more frequent curly and wavy hair so the Igor fellow definitely stood out in Herzegovina and Aromanians are darker on average than Serbs and it's not due to recent gypsy blood but ancient near eastern blood i.e ancient Anatolia,Armenia etc

Some folks say Herzegovinan Serbian is the purest,best and elite dialect of Serbian but that could be politics mixed with emotions since everyone knows Serbs of Herzegovina are Serbianized Aromanians and a unspecified amount of Montenegrins settled in Herzegovina centuries ago
