I think they were stealing signs from center field. If you watch the games now, I think the catcher has a wrist-pad where he can communicate with the pitcher who has an earpiece that tells him what to throw. But you can still see players trying to steal the signs. Most of the pitchers are well versed in who their facing and what they like for pitches. And vice versa for the batters facing certain pitchers. Boston's Alex Cora actually lost one year's worth of coaching here and due to being part of that Houston mess ... before he came here.

Good for PHILLY! You guys will be taking on the ASTROS ~~~ tough team to beat, but the Phillies are peaking at the right time. Houston has a great second baseman (José Altuve) who pretty much is the team leader and a solid third baseman (Bregman). Plus, they have an ace pitcher in Justin Verlander.
