A developer can only "kick you out of your house" if they legally acquire your property through a sale, meaning you agreed to sell it to them, and then once the sale is finalized, you would be legally obligated to vacate the premises; however, they cannot simply force you out without a legal process, like buying your house and following proper eviction procedures if you refuse to leave after the sale is complete
