I didn't know there were a lot of sightings during WW2 but I think Roswell incident was a little after the war ended. When I went to Roswell I met the soldier who was ordered to hold a weather balloon for the press pics, even tho he was there and was one of the militsry men who had seen the saucer and knew it wasn't a balloon. He was old but he remembered details of that day. He told me how little it took to make people believe the lie, but when told the truth years later, they didn't believe it.
