I've had a similar situation when my gate was open and Rocky went walk about. You feel so guilty. I've never lost a dog but it would be the worst thing ever. I'd prefer them to get run over just so I know what happened, know what I mean? I can't imagine what it's like being a father, I'd worry sick : )
