Ahhh gotcha

Games such as dune 2 was good on pc, amiga but not on genesis it was awful. the genesis have terrible sound and sound similar to atarti 2600 lol
fm synthesis. Many years after amiga you would think it would have16bit stereo sound. nope 8 bit like c64 many horrible games on genesis
but many good games on snes. that why sega die a few years later. even dream cast could not save it reputation of crap games

There was many awful games and only a few good one on amiga such as hybris, battle squadron. sword of sodan. EA port a dozen of it on sega genesis but it wasnt always as good as the amiga version. some worse due to lost of 4 channel stereo sound.. parallel scrolling which are missing on the genesis. say battle squadron. due to port from atari st.. lazy programming. arcade port was awful. out run, space harrier. altered beast.

Emulator are slow and dont work right for psx, sega saturn ps2. as console get more advance emulator became a thing of the past.
c64 emulator and ibm pc emulator for the amiga was awful. show you that it take too much cpu resources to imitate another system.
wine on the linux is slow as well. so why not use windows. 7 or 10.

I use to own sega gensis, snes. turbo graphic 16 with cd. sold them off to news paper in GA for fair price. call atlanta journal advertiser magazine. in my location. in the 90s before ebay became a thing online by 1998. My first experience of technology beside car and airplane is tv in 1981 and atari 2600, the arcade of the 80s and 90. new generation are internet boomer lol call the internet raise me who born in the 90s

I have use emulator for years since 2001.. for c64, the amiga. apple iie.. so there was no reason for me to own any retro pc. mame arcade emulator as well. the coleco vision. atari 2600 old stuff. watching someone play on yt and playing it is a different experience.

I don't own any consoles. I use laptop a lot and emulator to play sms, genesis, snes. dos games dosbox that it. I had sega saturn and sold it cheap on ebay for 30.. i had ps1 toss that away lol i had ton of vhs as well mostly anime and toss that away about 120 or so..

i use to follow this guy sega lord but now im busy being social .. i dont have time anymore.
