Yes, the ill effects of war are truly detestable. Unfortunately, for those who comprise THE BOOTS ON THE GROUND ~~~ many of them have no other avenues than to join the military and, sometimes when they fight, they fight for their very own survival. The mujāhidīn that could be found fighting the Russians and even the Americans ~~~ those are some badass motherfuckers and I don't say that in any way to disrespect them.
