Yes I mentioned it to you right here on your page Johnny, a few comments back. Pretty sure I did, unless my grey matter is starting to fail me. Anyway, thanks for the compliment. In all honesty, I have felt your frustration when it comes to these sites, they're not exactly swimming in intellectual thought and discussion, not calling myself an intellectual, but you get me.

Anyway, over the years I pursued different career paths, such as graphic design, creative media and animation. I can do that stuff, as evidenced by my channel designs. But...my heart was never in it. Not in any of those things. I spent four years getting a degree in animation and I never felt compelled to work really hard at it. I did work hard at it, but it always felt like a fucking chore. Graphic design too. They didn't really reflect my interests. But, studying the past year was different to the studying I had done before. I thoroughly enjoyed it. Psychology, Classical Studies, History, Sociology, English Literature....loved it. The course covered a range of subjects as a way to access Trinity as a mature student. I realized then, that I was on the right path. I could feel the effort spilling out of me without having to force it. Does that make sense?

Over the years I have had many part time jobs while I studied, so I have been paying taxes. One of the nicer ones was working in Next on Henry St. It's a nice, clean store. I've also done some bar work. I'm a late bloomer because I dropped out of school at 16 for medical reasons. I've been piecing it all back together ever since, using the wrong pieces. But this time it feels different. This time I feel challenged in a way that honestly stimulates.

Well done to your son, although I hear you on him feeling lonely while living in England. That can be hard, being far from family and friends. Where is he studying in Belfast? Queens is such a beautiful building, just throwing that in there.
