I would live there anyway , too hot too far away too unstable too many people . I like Scotland and Ireland as there are few people per sq. mile. If I buy it will be an apartment in Spain or Ibiza or Menorca, but my retirement is a good few years off yet, and my son expect me to leave him our house in Aberdeen so he can have an easy life

I know five people who have nice homes there ,with communal access to a swimming pool, but strangely, three of them have offered to sell for around £80,000. My wife put a stop to any talk of me buying one, saying it is too volatile a country and you would never know what would happen in the coming years there. She wants us to buy one back in Ireland, but the weather is pish over there, it is colder here but drier.
