Yeah, I think MONSANTO got bought out by BAYER AG a few years back and Bayer had to absorb all those lawsuits surrounding ROUNDUP which, by the way, they continue to market. How do they put it? Admit no liability and/or wrongdoing ~~~ plus, they usually appeal the verdicts to either delay payment or cut down the original judgments. It surely has to accrue and only God knows what kind of karmic debt some of these corporate types will eventually reap. I know Monsanto used to tell midwestern farmers what kind of crops they could go grow, and, of course, with the seeds they pretty much had no choice but to use. Unfortunately, the independent American farmer is a thing of the past ~~~ due to corporate influence and Mom&Pop operations being bought out or replaced.

I did not know that about Mr. Burns ~~~ I am not well versed as it relates to THE SIMPSONS. The weirdest thing that I have ever heard about the show is that some conspiracy theorists state that the show sometimes has foretold future events. Rich people can be quite funny about their amassed fortune ~~~ didn't J. Paul Getty once refuse to pay a $17 million ransom for his kidnapped grandson? That sounds like an awful lot, but this is a man whose fortune was estimated at $6 billion. And, that sounds minimal, compared to today's billionaires BUT back then he probably topped the list of FORTUNATE ONES.
The strangest thing about the CEO of PFIZER (Albert Bourla) is that he's really not a doctor. He is a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine but that's not the type of doctor that should be helming a pharmaceutical company tending to human needs. Most of these guys are beholden to the mantra of profit margins, stock options, and more ~~~ not saying that some of these companies don't make important finds that change the course of humanity (i.e., penicillin). Anyways, ENJOY yourself a FINE TUESDAY out in Cali. :)
