Yeah, I'm sure the dental and/or insurance industry would easily quash that type of technology. I read once that some university was growing new teeth in a milk solution. The goal was to implant the new tooth in an irrigated extraction cavity and give the patient a new tooth. But I bet you'd be hard pressed to find that story now. Just like the people that develop low-cost and effective heating systems ... or cost-effective car engines. CAN'T make money off of that. HA!

When I had quarantined, back in September, I had to blow through the money I set aside for a tooth or the tooth. I come out of a really good practice and the dentist takes the time to explain things to me. A root canal and dental crown would have been like $3,500 and then he mentioned a bone graft ($600) for a future dental implant. I figured pulling it was much easier than dealing with any of the options. Implants sound cool, but one needs to get the post (titanium) and that has to take time to heal. One also worries about the long-term effects of having that foreign metal in our bodies.
Hey, TRUE FACT ~~~ we have, within our DNA makeup, the same ability to shed and grow teeth like a shark does. It's just dormant in humans.
Yeah, hopefully, Gus can do what a friend of mine did while they were in BELIZE ~~~ scuba diving. They say the fish down there are really colorful.
