from what Ive read, the vaccine isnt working anyway. Some cruise ship filled w "Vaccinated Passengers Only" (and a few 12 year olds who cant get vaccines yet) ...it returned to dock and some of the passengers were infected and testing positive for covid. There is no logic in this, even from the beginning. Ppl were nervous about it so they isolate and wear masks, only so Cali can reopen Disneyland last year in the height of the pandemic. I havent believed it was as deadly as they were saying since that happened. None of this makes sense.

My mom told us we better not make hers a gloomy affair, she wanted ppl to celebrate her life and not be sad. So we celebrated her but it wasnt as easy not being sad, we all missed her a lot, ..still do.
Yep we womenz had to fight just to cast a vote, so the declaration of "independence" forgot a few ppl lol. Are you cooking like a corndoggy? I swear this heat i has to pass before i move higher up the mountain. Maybe now is a good time for montana ;)
youre a traveling soul there Chris, it must be nice to travel after the lockdowns, even in this heat. Im ready for that roadtrip but Ill wait until the fall to visit the desert, no way am I driving into that inferno now. You dont ever have to be sorry for late replies my friend, I try to check in but take a long time to get here myself sometimes, so no worries about that. Just enjoy the season and pray for rain! haha, Im ready for fall already lol

Glad to hear that you all made it to Atlantic City and enjoyed time along the Jersey Shore. If all the casinos were open, I’m sure it was nice. But good for you to get away and reenergize. yeah women have climbed out of "property" status not all that long ago, in terms of history. Before 1970 a woman couldnt walk into a bank and borrow money without a man to cosign. Which is strange to me since she could have lots of wealth and collateral and the man could be broke. He could use her own wealth as the collateral, theyd just need a man's signature to proceed. And early 1900's we were still property. Any money a woman inherited or worked for would be taken over by her husband, father or any male relative, even if she was educated and could invest more wisely than the husband who legally held it. In the course of things, that wasnt that long ago. Slaves were freed, women were not. I dont really consider myself a feminist in the sense I appreciate and miss the roles we played in keeping families together, but any freedoms gained for financial independance (or equal pay for equal work type laws), .. Im all for it. Can you imagine inheriting a million dollars and it all goes into your wifes account? You'd have to ask her for an allowance lol. (eff that)
anyway.. hope youre staying cool and loving this summer. Its so pretty here right now I dont want to even leave the mountain. Triple digits expected today tho, sacramento valley is going to cook. Im so happy to be up out of the worst of it. Have a great day Chris :)

youll be melted popcicle after this summer lol. Montana is amazing if you like wide open spaces and big mountains. About 20 yrs ago I decided I wanted a house in arizona and another in montana to go back and forth seasonally. I lived in ALBQ for a long time and that desert heat is easier than humidity for me, but its still waaay too hot. Summers in montana bc living in snow month after month might get tedious too.

..not really sure tbh, Ill try it one winter and see how it goes. The dream is still a dream at this point but anything is possible. Enjoy the sweltering, its great for losing weight when just going outside is like taking a sauna lol

thanks Chris, yeah Im well as to be expected after practically going broke last year, but what else to do but keep going or roll over? Im not keen on the rollover tactics so I just stay the course. Things are better but Ill be happy when I can take a road trip to the southwest and Montana too. So Mass. sounds like a brand new adventure, Ive never been but I always imagine witches swinging when I think of that state. I hope they dont still do that to the midwives lol. History isnt always the kindest to the women folk, its a wonder there's women left after the beat-downs theyve endured. Youre uncle sounds like an amazin guy! Thats too young tho, Im real sorry for that loss Chris, death is hard (for me anyway) to handle sometimes, .. I had to learn a few tools to not get sucked under w it. Im glad you can grieve and still appreciate and tell the good stories about him too :) I want to hear his song! :))
