Closest call? On a windy stretch of road near Dunstable (Massachusetts). I was on a mountain bike and I thought I could beat a tractor trailer truck but the trailer part of it kind of bumped me off the road. By the grace of God, I only had a minor cut from the trailer part of it brushing me aside, but that PHENOMENA where they say that things slow down like one of them reruns of your life ... it's true! HAHA, I remember the car (a convertible) behind the truck and the guy driving it say JESUS CHRIST. Needless to say, but I cut my ride short and rode home.
yes i had a sporty in the late 90s....theyre a fun bike....itd be either this current bike or my old kawasaki z900 that would be a toss up as my fav....ive had 8 bikes....

I don't know much about the HARLEM RENAISSANCE, aside from the timeline involved (1920's NYC) but it did have a lasting and formative influence. What you described at the lake ... yeah, those near misses do remind us of the delicate nature of LIFE and how unseen forces can help us in a good way ... some kind angel looking out for you.
