Bro, the entirety of human history can be boiled down to one endless dick measuring contest. That's JUST how primitive we are as a species. Well not you and I of course, we are highly evolved wry observers of human folly. It's funny, I just very recently sent Rob (Riffster) a lengthy email talking the human race up, rather than down. I suppose because although I do think that we are still incredibly stupid, paranoid and primitive....I see greatness in us too. I mean, just look at the James Webb telescope for example. Some truly beautiful minds were needed for it's construction. I still hold out hope that we will one day collectively cop the fuck on. I won't hold my breath, but I live in hope. It's all that any of us can do. It's nothing short of a disgrace that the Chinese were given an Olympic games to host. 5,000 years of civilization, and look at how they treat their own. Civilization is a state of mind, everything else...(aqueducts, paved roads and indoor plumbing) are just technology. That's the human habitat and nothing more. True civilization comes from within, and in that regard...the west has at least been making some progress since the enlightenment. Am I starting to sound like a Proud Boy? I ask only because, they profess to be western chauvinists don't they?
