It’s interesting to note how important and influential English has become to the point where English Dubs have been done in Asia for select Anglophone Asian audiences specifically in Asia.

once in awhile they get imported to more homogenously English speaking nations(the lost Dub of Golden Bat aired in Australia but was done in Tokyo by a WW2 Veteran in a company called Frontier Enterprises,the English Dub of Cardcaptor Sakura that was done in Hong Kong was released to North American audiences on DVD in 2015)

There is a lost Italian dub of Denjiman,Gogle V,Machineman and Winspector.I don’t think Italy along with Germany are big Anglophone areas.personally I think if East Germany didn’t unify with West Germany then West Germany would have aired more subtitled programming in English like Denmark,The Netherlands and Portugal do

Portugal has a big English speaking community.i think there’s various factors with one of them being a treaty from centuries ago that brought England and Portugal into having close(or closer)ties
