Lots of Norwegians from the north have Saami blood in their veins evidenced by their high rates of slant eyes and high cheekbones.I read the Saami of Finland became Christian in the 19th century by Swedish missionaries.I also read that tver karelians left finland/karelia to escape anti-orthodox persecution by the Lutheran Swedes.have you ever though of converting to Lutherans Igor?I think if there are Saamis then you wouldn't see them in hyvinkaa.I take it they would reside in North Finland herring reindeer

There aren't that many saami people in Finland but there are plenty in Norway and Sweden.in fact on some dead anthropology threads it mentioned that saami are dying out.they are becoming Swedish or Norwegian by lifestyle and are not even procreating with fellow saami but with Swedes and Norwegians.I know scanians don't know if they are Swedish or Danish and

Sinninen is the only Finnish word I know :-T

I learned from a Finnish user on quora that most Finns are unaware and just don't know about Russian karelians.in fact many Finns see the Karelians of Russia as Russian nothing more nothing else
