I know in Russian Karelia the Karelians are the fastest assimilating minority since many young Karelians identity as russian.it's better compared to other Russian republics that are a bit more hostile towards the Russian people.for example the Sakha of Yakutia outnumbered Russians in 2002 and were protesting for years against the Russian community.Chechnya is worse.Chechnya has the highest birthrate and the lowest intermarriage rate of all the Russian republics in the Russian federation

I know the ingrians that live in Finland spoke on Russian on a monolingual collective scale not to forget many of them were half or a quarter ingrian.the city of Marom in Russia is mostly Russian but you can see some of the Finnic/Finno Ugric influence on its inhabitants since the fitness founded by the Maroma people

One comment on langfocus or some other said that technically there is no official standard Finnish as the dialects are so different and have varying degrees of diglossia with karelian switching back and forth from being a dialect to being a actual language.In fact many Finns can understand Estonians and I know Estonians are more conservative than Finns
