Hey Rob! Yeah, the heat has been insane. I didn't stay outside very long yesterday, but I made sure to drink plenty of water. We actually had a little shower this morning, which was nice.

Sundays are usually my grocery shopping day, so I headed into town. It usually takes me a few hours because I make several stops. I wanted to wash the car first, and sometimes the line is about a 30-minute wait to an hour, but I got lucky today and got right in. After that, I stopped at Dollar General, Walmart, HEB, and Dollar Tree.

When I got home, I cooked some fajitas for supper, and they turned out really good. Overall, it was a pretty good day. How was yours?

it seems every time i get a half assed plan to take off for a few days, i get a call from my coworker to fill in for her ... so it puts my days off into a cluster f**k. i get off early monday morning, late sunday night. then monday is a recovery day, i plan to bugger off early wednesday morn and come back early friday.
i get a call tuesday night asking me to do a wednesday and or thursday shift. then do my regular weekend shift.
blah blah, extra income is fine, but after a couple months of that, i'm feeling totally bagged out, plus it seems to rain every second or third night. i was out last night setting up barricades at 1AM this morning with 40MPH wind and rain. Soaked in 2 minutes ! whatever, i just might not have a shift until friday. we shall see.
