It definitely was a unique way to promote a movie, BUT I think it was the randomness of where the ad hoc advertisements were placed and how they could easily be mistaken for improvised devices.

Yes, Velma pretty much goes hand-in-hand with COSPLAY. On the cartoon, her sexuality was definitely not ambiguous ... the whole cast was pretty much suspect ... even Scooby-Doo. HAHA!
