it really good leftover too. I hope you have a really fine holiday meal there Shady, you can catch up and watch the newest tragic events unfold lol Im sure Ill hear and earful too. Its always something :D
its good. He likes it with hot but medium chile is my fave. I use onions and garlic first, cook it down on low with 3-4 zucchini - covered so they kinda steam and get really soft. Then add a can of corn or a few ears fresh cut and the chiles, and a touch of cream. You dont want it runny but not sticky from the corn starch either. Season it up and thats it. Anyway there are probably lots of ways to make it but Im glad youll try. I think youll like it if you get the right heat.
lol thats happened to me before too lol. I'd get up early to start cooking so we could eat about 3-4pm, and theyd breeze on in about 6 after its been ready for hours. But theyre grown now, so hes arriving the day before lol. Yes he likes green chile, ...probably from being raised in NM. If youre going to eat it you might as well eat the best lol. Hatch in a can is better than local chile any day. I actually got that recipe from his grandfather (RiP)
Oh so you fish for smaller fish, I get it. The only trout I ever caught was at Donner Lake using Salmon eggs as bait. The biggest freshwater fish I ever caught was a Carp, and they are garbage fish, so I didn't eat it, lol! I don't like fishy tasting fish, but Trout is good if it's prepared right. Just too many bones. The bay is being overfished now. Too many people from other countries catching and keeping all the babies. I always give them a piece of my mind when I see their buckets full of baby fish.
That sounds like fun Shady. I am guessing you fish in freshwater lakes right? I have done a lot of fishing over the years, but mostly salt water, like the bay and ocean. We catch all kinds of things out here, but mostly sharks, stingrays, striped bass, and if one is lucky, a sturgeon. The are huge, and take forever to reel in. Same with the stingrays. It's all catch and release. Do you eat what you catch?
