i seen a lot of stuff over the years, so generally i'm well versed and prepared for anything,
and i have a quick mouth that i've learned to control, haha.
i see in EU that basically all the countries will be out populated by immigrants by 2050
and then those blocks of foreigners will vote into Gov't their people and change all the laws to "sharia" type middle east examples of no human rights, so CDA and USA are just a couple decades slow,
Luckily Kamala didn't get in !!! and it looks like Trudeau will be toast soon.
all the woke leadership in the WEST seems to be getting tossed, so maybe people have had enough BS (?)

This is second scene, is when the Cardassian prisoner Daheel's true identity is revealed. It hits me square in the chest every time. Yulin is an amazing actor. You may recognize him as the courtroom judge in Ghostbusters, he was also in Scarface and too many other movies to mention.

Everything in Star Trek is a metaphor. I'll explain by providing some background for the scenes. The Bajorans are a race who's world was occupied for fifty years by a race called the Cardassians (no relation to Kim or Kourtney). The Bajorans are a metaphor for oppressed people's everywhere, take your pick, Jews, Palestinians, Native Americans, black South Africans etc. At times, I've even seen my something of my own people in how the Bajorans were portrayed. Ireland having long suffered under British rule. The Cardassians are any oppressive regime you'd like to think of. They've always reminded me of the Nazis.

Anyway, in the episode "Duet", Major Kira (Bajoran) interrogates a Cardassian that has been arrested after arriving on DS9, on suspicion of being someone called "Gul Darheel" also known as the "Butcher of Gallitep". Gallitep was a forced labour camp run by the Cardassians in which many Bajorans were worked to death. It's such a powerful and moving episode and the performance of Harris Yulin as Darheel is truly spectacular. He really makes you feel the anguish and suffering of a people who don't even exist. Now THAT'S great acting!

It's what Star Trek does best, dealing with social issues of every description, as such...I was never a big fan of the Star Trek movies because they were more action oriented, which Star Wars does better. Star Trek movies come across as a bit crash, bang wallop, whereas Star Wars is better able to weave a good story into the action, such as with The Acolyte. I also love Star Wars gritty edge. What Lucas calls the "used future" look. Everything in Star Trek tends to be very flash and squeaky clean. Star Trek's real strength is in it's commentary on what's happening in the real world.

I remember sending you a clip from Deep Space Nine before and you said you thoroughly enjoyed it. It was a clip from an episode called "Far Beyond The Stars" about a 1950's sc-fi writer called Benny Russell. There are so many great episodes from DS9. One of my all time favourites is an episode called "Duet", which I wanted to share with you. There are two powerful scenes from that episode. I don't mean to bombard your page with clips, but I'll send you the two scenes, both are only a few minutes long.

Skeleton Crew seemed very kiddish, even in the trailer, more so when I watched an episode. The Acolyte was more true to form. Star Wars seems to be doing with Skeleton Crew, what Star Trek did with "Lower Decks" which is a kids version of Star Trek that I've never had much interest in. I'm sure kids will love Skeleton Crew. I just finished watching the final season of Star Trek Discovery and let me tell you, it was a real chore to get through it, absolute rubbish. I had watched it from season one, so I figured I may as well push myself to finish it. Star Trek Strange New Worlds isn't much better, both shows are full of woke nonsense. There are two gay characters in Discovery who are in a relationship, that's fine, but I don't need to see two dudes kissing each other all the time when I watch Star Trek. I am by no means homophobic, but there's no need to beat us over the head with it. Star Trek has always liked to break down barriers though, the first interracial kiss on American television was on Star Trek.

Man, I slept really well last night, for once. I feel refreshed. Most people take a good night's sleep for granted. When you say soundbar, are you referring to a soundbar for a TV? Eating out is a good way to treat someone. As for me, I asked Santy to bring me €500 top of the line Bose headphones. I still have my folks convinced that I believe in Santy, they don't have the heart to tell me the truth, so I'm gonna milk it for all it's worth lol But seriously, I do have my eye on them, albeit a cheaper pair than that. I'll be using my own savings on them. Love my music so, that's what I have my sights set on.

Yea, ah well...it is what it is Rob. To tell you the truth, it's better for all concerned if I give him space. He's not a happy man, especially at this time of year. So I'm just hoping that I'll get through it and out the other side, but I appreciate your sentiments.

Yep, BALOO made me aware there was a problem with Jeramy's video so i replaced with another one that's just as terrible in different ways! These two will be my last of this genre and i will return to my more regular type whatever that be!?!

I can understand why you're not that big on reality shows since there's not a whole lot of real in most of them! Survivor isn't all real either but better than most and the different players each show make it somewhat interesting. I don't like cold either so i pretend it doesn't bother me;) Yep, time flies too fast and the good times never last...
