I feel like a lot of ppl get stuck looking for a reason for things …like why they abuse substances, over eat, in your case are a perfectionist, the meaning of life, etc ….I’m sure as a psychologist-ish (idk your exact qualifications) it might be your nature to go looking for reasons for things ….but maybe sometimes things are just the way they are? ….idk, personally for me in my life, I don’t really go that route …I mean I guess it’s part of the healing process, but at a certain point, to me, it just feels like I’m focusing & dwelling on the past rather than putting that time & energy towards moving forward w the future
