So each day i plan my destination for the day . i never have a 500 mile day on the road. i have fav places to stay and place for dining in or delivered . traveling by yourself you can put in a longer day behind the wheel but i keep my daily chill rather than be in rush hour traffic where ever i might be .

My trip is not till July so I can go buy one next week and learn how to use it. I don't know anything about gun safety. Do you carry a gun w you and where do you keep in the car? I have to learn about the legal aspects of carrying a gun since I will be crossing so many states. I need to go for it.
