Disinformation becomes a rival to the truth.
Truth must justify itself, whereas a lie is free to simply make assertions.
Intimidation suppresses other voices,
potentially leading fewer people to actually express their opinions.
It can escalate into violence.

historically speaking, USA President Nixon went to china to meet Mao in 1972 . both countries had been without diplomatic ties for 23 years !!! add the Vietnam war .... then you have a Chinese Good Guy in the TOP 10 tv nielsen ratings ! a Xena type minority hero with positive morals and discipline.
it was very bizarre . it's all tied in, i saw it happen.
i guess you could say, everybody was kung fu fighting ???

Xena tv show reminds me of the western TV series from 1972 starring David Carradine as an Chinese immigrant in western USA in the 1870's wild west era. Kung Fu ,
1972 , american TV show where the protagonist is chinese !
ahead of it's time. the title actor was not asian, i watched the show, he was asian enough for me.
i bought the cool aide and enjoyed
