Good afternoon, Nadine ~~~ as we move forward, I will regale you with a few champagne stories. It’s hard to tell the tales, without the corks in hand.
Of course, I had decided that it was time to let them go … the memories attached to their physicality … for some memories are just that … they’re meant to fade and they’re meant to be set free.
We’ll talk about the champagne itself and the importance of choosing the right bottle. We’ll start with a bottle of Piper-Heidsieck and its origin … REIMS, FRANCE … choice is everything, Dear Friend.
The aforementioned bottle of Piper-Heidsieck was purchased for the MILLENNIUM. Anyways, have a nice afternoon over there and enjoy your week ahead.
It’s been more relaxed so far. I might go to a hockey game tonight if Mom is up to it. Oh nice, glad you watched the interview! How is your weekend going so far?
Geoff Tate is from the legendary ’80s heavy metal band Queensrÿche, but today he is a solo artist touring with a talented group of up-and-coming musicians, including some great musicians from Ireland.
i will have a look at the castle post. a british guy i sub to does historical content and covers a lot of different research. Mark Felton Productions. it's all quite amazing and very detailed.
Boredom? Nah, a combination of too much time on my hands and me being a bad boi at heart. As my late brother would tell you … don’t mind J.P. … he just likes to hear himself talk 😝 but, yeah, as my channel trailer states FATE HAS ITS OWN SENSE OF IRONY.
And - all kidding aside - I admire mankind’s imperfections … in one instance, it’s what makes us imperfect and beautiful. Have a nice evening!
I used to have a box of champagne corks ~~~ I am sure that every one of them had a wonderful memory attached to it 😊
No, I gathered that you were implying God might get bored—that if we didn't have free will, He might find things tedious. But I absolutely don't think that; I believe you can only truly love someone if they are capable of rejecting that love. And you’re making peace with imperfection—that’s interesting. I find it absolutely terrible. I’ve struggled with perfectionism, but I’ve found a word now that is really beautiful: *excellence*. I might not be able to do something perfectly, but I can give it my best—and to me, that is excellence.
By the way, wasn’t it Saint Augustine who wrote - in one of his treatises - that TIME didn’t exist? As with all treatises of its time, I think it was a bit long winded and overwrought. Supposedly, in its smallest of increments, it doesn’t exist … because by the time you’re done measuring it … it’s past … obviously, he was never privy to owning a Casio watch 🤩
You might laugh, but I remember this: Augustine asked, "If God created the world, what was God doing before the creation of the world?" Years later, Martin Luther replied: "He was sitting in a birch grove, whittling rods for the people who ask such useless questions."
Ultimately, I believe that was the real reason why the church reform took place.
God’s honest truth; but if not for man’s apparent and unbridled FOLLY, life would be pretty boring 🥱 robotic, as you described it. All the slight nuances, idiosyncrasies, and delicate minutiae of daily life makes it all the more interesting. And LUST … that’s the best of the deadly sins 😉 enjoy your Saturday evening, Nadine 😊
I’m a CATHOLIC, by the way … born to one, raised as one, and I will willingly die as one. The quiet rumors about the Merovingian bloodline interests me … as does the Arthurian legend attached to it 🤔
I put some of my other thoughts on my channel. They’re not incendiary, but they do posit a premise that certain people might find to be blasphemous <<< by the way, I’m listening to AC-DC right now … Tony Stark’s favorite 🤩 have a nice Saturday afternoon, over there.
Remember, Nadine, that - in the end - everything’s meant to be questioned … otherwise, it would be a waste to have wired us this way 😉
The only words that should resonate, in my remembrance of 9-11, should be these; Imagine, for a second, if not for the malevolence of mankind … the lives that could have been 😞 <<< these telling words can and should apply to any situation that faces our tiny world.
As far as the retelling of events and how people choose to interpret events; that’s their entitlement, but it does not mean that they’re right. This is where mankind’s greatest challenge comes into play … is he - the collective HE - capable of setting aside his PRIDE and acquiescing for the greater good.
Anyways, Nadine, have a nice weekend over there and enjoy whatever you may do to relax. ;)
i was in HELL a few years ago, the Germans were the border guards. i was in Munich airport, i had two officers in my meeting room questioning me. you know how you see on TV, good cop, bad cop ? these were both bad cop. i felt like i was in the 1940's. talk about quiet intimidation. i'd say more but i'm sure your familiar about what i mean.
?Just this past Monday, I spoke with one of our pastors—and his team—who currently travels back and forth between Russia and Ukraine; his congregation is in Russia, though he is originally from Ukraine. You can imagine what the situation at the borders is like right now. He had flown to Moldova a few weeks ago and then continued into Ukraine by car. His account of a grueling interrogation at the border was truly striking.
@Yael as much danger as you describe, you had previously talked about situations in the middle east. OK, fine. i will just stay at my place and wave to American spy drones and make new Chinese Communist Friends
Oh wow, an earthquake? I guess I never realized they had earthquakes over in Germany. That had to have been pretty exciting for sure!
My first, and only, experience with an earthquake was when I was living in Kansas. I honestly never expected to feel one there, but an earthquake happened somewhere in Oklahoma and we felt it all the way up in Kansas. I think it was back in November 2011. I remember the whole house shaking and the dishes rattling around in the cabinets. It definitely caught me off guard because you just don't expect something like that in Kansas. Pretty wild!
Speaking of pretty wild, I just got back from a show with my mom at Brewster Street Ice House in Corpus Christi. The opening performers were Irish musicians James Keegan and Tomás McCarthy, along with Irish vocalist Clódagh McCarthy. They put on a really cool mix of Irish folk, acoustic, and rock before Geoff Tate came on.
Geoff Tate is one of my all-time favorite singers, so seeing him live was pretty special. He was actually born in Stuttgart, Germany.
Then Geoff and his band brought the heavy metal, and it was a total blast! My mom even got to talk with James and Tomás during the show, and they had a little conversation about where they were from. We also got to see Clódagh perform, and she was awesome too. It was such a cool experience and definitely a night we'll remember!

It has been a while but I'm going to go out on a limb here and suggest that it might have been Erik Johannson. Does this look familiar to you?
