i did that with a 46cm tall stuffed ALF doll to my 1st wife in the late 1980's.
i was going out of town on a week long sales trip, and i stashed the doll at the bottom of the bed
with a blanket over the lump.
obviously it was shocking for her, but very funny too !
so, just remember that ,

Seeing your Garfield image brought back some great memories. My brother and I used to watch Garfield every afternoon after school when we were kids. Grandma would always give us vanilla ice cream that we would put in cones with M&M's on top. I really miss those times.
