If the universe were aligned by a truly beneficent god, then what "is" would be aligned with what "ought" to be, but that is clearly not the case, as nature is cruel, favors the strong over the weak, none of which is in line with the teaching of the Christian god. So I say again, how do we reconcile what "is" with what "ought" to be? Nietzscheans are realists, Christians are idealists. You're sampling my DNA right now, my sweet. Are you not?

Indeed. The Judge took that into consideration, and was of the opinion that in awarding upkeep costs for raising the child, that the child would have a daily reminder as it was growing up, that it was a mistake. Also, he took into consideration that although the child in question was not the child that the mother had wanted, the mother had nonetheless wanted another child, and so for that reason also, her claim for upkeep costs was unreasonable.

To judge a cases dispassionately (which in regard to a case like this, would be difficult) is not to judge a case without an opinion. Judgements are, by their very nature, opinions. They are opinions laid down in common law, where precedents have been set in the past, through judgements handed down after careful consideration of all pertinent facts. Hence the expression..."It is the opinion of this court".

Right now I am studying a case in Torts where a woman who wanted to have a baby with her husband via IVF, was impregnated with sperm from the wrong donor. So, upon having the child, she sued the clinic for the cost of the upkeep of the child until it reached the age of 35. She lost her case, and I am studying the reasons why.

Wustrau war ein SS-Führungsstandort. Das Schloss war bereits während des Krieges eine zentrale SS-Dienststelle und zeitweise Sitz der SS-Wehrwirtschaftsführung. In den letzten Kriegswochen nutzte Himmler den Ort als Befehlsstand.

Himmler führte dort Gespräche mit SS-Führern. Ein besonders gut dokumentierter Fall ist Jürgen Stroop: Er traf Himmler im April 1945 in einem Sonderzug bei Wustrau. Himmler sprach etwa 20 Minuten mit ihm und vermittelte weiterhin die Vorstellung, Deutschland könne den Krieg noch gewinnen. Stroop erhielt dabei weitgehende Handlungsfreiheit.

Das war gleichzeitig die Phase der KZ-Evakuierungen. Am 20./21. April begann die Räumung von Sachsenhausen. Mehr als 33.000 Häftlinge wurden Richtung Nordwesten getrieben. Himmler hatte schon zuvor die Evakuierung von Konzentrationslagern angeordnet.

Wustrau lag strategisch interessant: Himmler befand sich dort nördlich von Berlin und bewegte sich anschließend weiter in Richtung Mecklenburg. Ende April schloss er sich schließlich dem großen Strom von NS-Funktionären an, der nach Norden in Richtung Flensburg ging.
