wow im so glad you hear you took one on. They deserve a life after being racers. I dont think all race horse owners are bad, some know what theyre doing. And obv that example i gave you wasnt an owner trying to give himself an advantage, the horse had been sabotaged by a competitor. But i realized in that track that was off limits to public, that whoever did it was someone i probably knew who was working there too. It shed new light on what ppl will do to win a race. The horses cant tell you who the bad guys are so it sorta turned me off to the sport. But some horses young and ambitious really like to run, they just dont do anything else lol But thank you for giving that horse a life after racing.

It won't make me sad at all to ban the derbies if it prevents the drugging and abuses towards the horses. The obvious difference between a horse and a nascar, is a nascar isnt a living creature. I 100% disagree w any abuses towards any animal for the sake of making a buck...even the raising and killing of animals we eat can be done w respect and humanely.

When I use to exercise horses at a track there was a horse found weak and unresponsive from cotton balls being shoved up it's nostrils to restrict the airflow during a race. Ofc no one knew how it happened, the investigation was weak since the horse recovered. No one was arrested while the track vets looked away. I think if we can't clean it up and start jailing these animal abusers then we should shut it down. I won't miss it at all if it saves even one horse from suffering.
